Please note:
Alpha Hydroxy Acids need to have a low pH to work
effectively. They must be in a pH environment of 4.5 or less
in order to dissolve the lipid bonds between the surface
skin cells. While some products may appear to have higher
concentrations of AHAs, this is often compensated for by
increasing the pH level to buffer the natural acidity,
therefore making the product less effective.
